The thing with the coolant system is you need to have a pump that works in conjunction with overall cooling surface area as well as overall coolant volume. Some may think a pump that flows 50+gph would be great, but in reality it will pass by a small system so quickly that very little heat will be dissipated.
This pump is ideal for the E55 HE upgrade and a small coolant reservoir (not installed). If we were to do something crazy like we're attempting on another SRT, then a bigger pump would be justified. We're squeezing a monstrous HE (customer's choice) and seperate coolant tank into the car and will most likely run a CM90.
The CM30 is more then adequate for 90% of applications.
