You have to really work it. There are for tabs on each side that you've to manage to get undone. It's not an easy job but take your time and you'll get it. If you pull to hard it is possible that you'll break the pull.

The silver pull handle is glued behind there it also has little ridges that kinda hold it in place. I just yanked on mine and it pulled out. I wouldn't do that becuase it could break the door I guess I just got lucky.
Thanks for the input. I will try again to see if I can pull it out knowing that there are tabs and glue that must be overcome. I was thinking that worst case, I would try to mask off the panel around the pull, and try to cf wrap the back plate in place.
