We didn't do the back half of the "custom exhaust" but the customer wanted us to fix the leaks he was hearing. We started to take it down today and wow is it a hack job. 2" crush bent rusted steel piping with leaks at every single weld. Needless to say it will most likely be completely redone with 2.5" SS pipe and actual welds.
As for the fueling, our cars are not exempt from the same solutions that work for all other cars. Every car be it a turbo 4 cylinder or a SC 8 cylinder have fueling issues fixed the same way at our HP levels. Injectors can only flow so much and fuel pumps can only flow so much. Why so many people insist on reinventing the wheel with complicated vaccuum set ups that cause all sorts of odd part throttle drivability issues is beyond me. Throw a pump in, upgrade your injectors, and realize that this engine is the same as every other engine in existance.
For reference, I posted a pick of the SL55 pump compared to the stock pump in the gallery. By far the simplest way of upgrading the pump. Straight slip in. Now I just have to find a way to stop getting gas in my eye...
