Maybe the stock muffler gave you just enough back pressure for it to all work well.

I guess I shouldn't complain to much we've been blessed with cars that came out with a pretty perfect exhaust system from the factory. Seems as theres little to nothing we can do to help it performance wise. Other then sublte changes e.g. res, cat delete
