To pinch the hose for a bit and drive around one simple method is to use an adjustable wrench. Put it on the hose and tighten the screw till it is as clamped as you like and tape it in place if the car is to be moved, NOT DRIVEN ON ROAD as it will fall into the belts or fan. When purging the hose to the overflow tank, you only need to restrict it about 1/2 or so to get the air to move into the tank and vent the cooler circuit. Woody
