Well I agree with this... Well about having diffrerent tires at least. I have my summer tires Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110 on during the summer, then during winter I have stock wheels with contis on the front (225/40/18) and blizzak lm-25's on the rear (265/35/19). I just replaced the original contis from the SRT at almost 30k miles. I put on the original contis from my N/A (wrecked 4/09) that have 11k on them...and a lot of tread. I expect them to last another 15k miles at least. I am a big fan of the Hankooks but I will not be running summer tires on the front until I move somewhere that sees less than an inch of snow a year. Otherwise I'm a big fan of the Hankooks, very good tire with good wear, and pretty good traction.
