the only thing I had ever done close to this, was put a 454 chevy, 400 turbo auto...left the rear end stock, in a 68 firebird...it would smoke the stock tires just about anytime, anywhere...but if we had tubbed it, put in a narrowed 12 bolt chevy rearend and the big tires....well, I think she would have stood up....nice project....post some photos when done...
