Default Re: Put the new parts on

I went to the short track yesterday and the results were good. I shaved a few tenths off my best time on the first run. All my other runs were in the rain so I didn't get the chance to do better. The IAT's stay under 100º on the highway. When stuck in traffic they go up to 125º and stay there.

On the track the highest temps were at the start from sitting and soaking heat from the proximity to the radiator. At times I started at 140º and during the race the IAT's reached 142º but came right down in the slow sections to 125º. Until I do the fan mod with the 185º thermostat 125º seems to be where they settle out during normal (for me) driving. I have the stock Bosch pump which is better matched to the stock heat exchanger and I imagine something more potent is appropriate with the larger heat exchanger. The always on mod is needed for racers IMO.

The car had amazing grip in the rain. The Pilot Sport Cups are amazing. They are horrible with puddles but if the track is just damp they grip almost as good as when dry.

Stay tuned for the next chapter.
