If you have a Home Depot or Lowes I would suggest purchasing a set of interlocking mats - usually used in a gym or playroom. They come in solid or multicolor packs and cost less than $20.00. They are 1/4 - 1/2" thick and are easy to cut to size. I use these in my trunk for additional protection and they look and work great. Also they are washable and you don't need to use velcro.
