I pulled my car in the garage this evening and heard a sound I never heard before. It is like a combination of a metal on metal light grinding and rattle noise. It is coming from the from the front of the engine. I can only hear it at idle. As I gave it gas in neutral, I could not hear it over the sound of the engine. While driving I did not notice any loss of power. This sound is new and I know something is not right. Can anyone tell me what to look for?

Also, while revving up the car in neutral, the most I could get the RPMs up to was 4000. Is this a safety feature?
