Re: I finally did something about the performance of the XF
I have read some very good reports about the SRT4 and nearly bought one. My wife loved it. She said it would make a fast grocery getter. When she said that I realized it didn’t have that sports car appeal that I needed. It also comes in some less expensive models with less performance just like the Crossfire does. I have a very fast Corvette and it satisfies my need for speed but isn’t too dependable. I made a decision after I survived cancer that I would never buy a boring car ever again. I would have bought a Neon if it had two doors and/or cruise control. The Neon seemed “run of the mill” in every way except for the engine. I actually test-drove the neon twice. It felt pretty good. Also, have you noticed how they look after a few years? To me a luxury sports car just can’t have 4 doors no matter how fast it is and why does it not come with cruise control? I bought the Xfire because it is a blend of looks, luxury, comfort and performance. I did not choose the SRT6 because I still have the Corvette and I like shifting through all six gears.
I’m not picking a fight here because I do understand that people are attracted in different ways and that is a good thing!
