Gave my car a good clean today and noticed that the windscreen is cracked. It's a crack of about 4 inches and over the tax disc, so I didn't notice it from inside.

I notice some of the US threads say you should insist on the OEM Pilkington glass for a replacement. (It seems they have a lot of sub standard Chinese replacement parts over there??)

Just spoke to my insurance company and they're happy to replace it, but they use their own glass, not Pilkington OEM, but apparently British made to the same standards. Just waiting for them to come back to me to tell me if they can use OEM glass.

Has anyone else in the UK had a replacement windscreen? Was it OEM? Any issues for me to be aware of?
