True......true...... but I also would say that the majority of people that have an SRT and occasionally take them to the track fall into a bit of a different demographic than other SC'd car owners like ricers. I would think the average SRT owner is 35+ and is very festidious with car maintenance. From what I have seen of SRT owners on this site that have modded theirs and enjoy the power that they can get out of them, they are wrench turners for the most part. Guys that care about their car, and not some teenager that is on a daily mission to try to blow the engine up.
Also, you can easily pick up a rebuilt SC for these engines for about $1,400, and I have seen them for less than a grand on eBay. I realize that is still not cheap, but cost is also relative to your budget. In the unfortunate event that I were to have a SC go bad, that amount of money would not alter my life any. Once again it is a relative thing.
