Re: Dangerously close to taking the leap from Limited to SRT-6 - opinions needed
Great responses from all, thank you. Franc please do send me those links if possible, its always good to go in with as much ammo as possible.
After reading the comments, and researching other prices, the price does seem high given the 44,000 miles. I do think the fact that the car is in Northern VA/Maryland is one thing factoring into the inflated price.
A fellow member in MD has PMed me about selling their similar SRT6 (same color but with 14,500 miles) for the same price. May check that out as well. It would be nice to avoid the stealership and deal with a fellow forum member. I would be more willing to pay that asking price for a car with low miles. But that would only work if my parents did buy the car, and I did not do a trade-in.
Your words of encouragement have definitely done nothing to appease my desire to make the purchase!
At the end of the day it comes down to the fact that I have never been satisfied with the power of the Limited (not that I am speed demon either) and given the fact I plan to drive it for a few more years anyways, that is if I don't upgrade to an SRT6, I would rather drive do the upgrade and be content for the next few years rather than always wanting more power.
That being said, it is my understanding that the craving for increased horsepower never dissipates, no matter how many times you upgrade.
