Default Re: SRT6 vs 6 speed tvt

Might as well check in here...

A fully built m112 v6 motor will come very close to stock SRT power, but not torque.

With the NA you have the advantage of the 6spd and the steep gearing. However, once you hit 3rd gear its all over. The na will give the illusion that it is accelerating faster due to the nature of NA engines having better throttle reponse.

My personal car is the fastest NA I've driven. It is all about the right combo of parts. In first and second I can snap your neck back, much harder then what the SRT does (and I've built some ridiculous SRTs). That's where it ends though, 3rd gear and up and you get humbled very easily by higher HP cars.

I always tell my customers to decide exactly what they want from the car and then decide on a budget. If around town driving is their most important aspect, then I suggest a CAI and exhaust and call it a day.

For a complete motor with all the bells and whistles and power to back it up you are looking at around 8K (they come forged too).

When you are ready to upgrade shoot me an email or give me a call and I'll be happy to go over everything.
