Now it’s time to drain the torque converter (TC).
  • Remove the plastic cover from below the TC and see if the TC drain bolt is there (It’s not). To get the TC bolt at the bottom you will need to put the trans in neutral and either use a screwdriver to rotate the TC or use the 27mm socket and wrench to turn the engine (crank bolt, clockwise only please) until the drain bolt appears.
  • Remove the TC drain bolt with the 5mm allen wrench. NOTE: you would be wise to fashion some sort of device to help the fluid find its way into the drain pan. Its gonna be MESSY!
  • Reinstall TC drain bolt.
