I work in the same industry as doc, so it didn't strike me as odd at all when I read his post the first time... I had to go back and re-read the post to how it could be misread....

just in case you didn't know what it was, or someone else doesn't. A 'reefer' in the way Doc was referring to it is a 'refrigerated cargo unit'. It allows cargo to be shipped either cross country (truck) or international (container) while the cargo is being kept at a certain temperature. this cargo can also be called temperature controlled. it could be anywhere from 2*C for fruits and vegetables from latin america all the way down to as low as -40*C for frozen fish from asia.
what doc was talking about was the generator they attach to some containers to control that temperature, otherwise known as a gen-set (at least in the ocean shipping business).
