Well, if you change your mind.....go to your county tax appraiser's website.....you can look up any address & find out what the official state tax appraisal is.....find one on realtor.com....that someone is selling for less than what the official tax appraisal is (that suggests they need to move or dump the property)....& offer $10K less....
If you're paying rent right now....you'll be shocked how comparable it would be to actually buy a house + you'll get to deduct the interest & real estate taxes off your taxable income....
That there is some of that wise-old-man **** you should listen to....
