I agree, there's no way $2k would happen while paying someone to do the fabrication and install. Here's my basic breakdown:
You realize that in the original post that it was stated $2k ON TOP OF a donor motor and parts. So the $2k is basically the guy's labor to install and hopefully tune it. That sounds about right for a shadetree mechanic to do this work in his spare time.
