It is certainly not cheap but I paid nearly that for the 12,000 mile service. The service itself was cheap but there was another £135 for the oil. If your dealer used the proper oil then it is expensive. You do find dealers who use Shell or a substitute to keep the cost down, but this will degrade quicker and cause more engine wear.

I would rather pay the extra and have the Mobil Synthetic as I plan to keep my XF forever.

Give the garage a ring and say this seems expensive and see what they say.
