Default Re: Check your rotors

I should have added to my post that I am not the orginial owner of the car. I just purchased this roadster in the last three months. I think 180 is spot on when it comes to break wear. I have over 90,000 miles on my OEM pads and rotors when I replaced the pads on my Chevy van. I usually get 80,000 to 100,000 miles on brakes. Mostly highway miles. I guess I was surprised some one could do that to rotors in that short a mileage. Don't know if it was the driver or the quality of the rotors. I suspect the former had more of an impact then the materials. In any case the Xfire now has a good home and someone who takes care of it like it should be taken care of. Had the top down yesterday for a test drive. It is back in the garage since we expect 4 to 8 inches of white stuff tonight.
