I'm originally from Michigan, and if I still lived there I'd still have bought the car. That said, considering the potholes and other road conditions I'd have a lot of trepidation venturing far in a car with no spare and no run-flats. I love my old state and my new one too, but Michigan is a very hard place to keep a car nice. Good luck and enjoy.
