Hey I just purchased this same headunit (JVC KD-AVX77) and something possessed me to try and install it myself. Im using the Metra 70-1786 harness and everything seems to be going good and then I realize it says I need to connect the lt. green wire the parking brake. I assume its a security feature for the DVD player. Did u have to remove the entire center console to do this? Also Ive been reading that the factory wiring has the red and yellow wires switched, but it appears that once the Metra harness is installed the color of the wires are switched back. So shouldn't I still connect red to red and yellow to yellow? lastly, do you have an mp3 player. where did u put it and how did u run the cables? Sorry if I sound silly, but I am a total A/V new jack.
