Default Re: Can't get in to my car :(

speaking of that, not being able to get in the car, I picked the Cross up the other night from storage, and had both keys with me. when I got home from work yesterday, I went in the house and when I came both doors were locked again, by themselves as we talked about before. I had that sinking feeling that I had left both keys in it by mistake, forgetting that it will do that FOR MY PROTECTION!!!!! As it turned out, by habit I did take the key out as I exited the car, but the other one was inside in a bag I had taken with me to get the car.

So what I was thinking, like the issue in this thread, has anyone come up with a solution for the time that does happen, without resorting to a locksmith? A wire someplace to push the pin, or adding another wire to the hood latch to get the hood open and maybe jump the door lock actuators or something like that?

A homeowners solution would I think be a great workaround if something like that were to happen, or am I just being optimistic here, and there's nothing practical to do but call a locksmith?
