Re: New Owner - Why CCCI?
Forums and clubs come and go, but I believe clubs will stick around longer if the members are dedicated to the principles of the clubs formation.
This site (.org) is stable right now but has had its issues. Outside of the antics of outsiders (those who join only to cause trouble) and perhaps some with what others consider childish behavior (not accusing anyone), I still have yet to find one I would absolutely turn down having a drink with.
Understand the CICCI site/club is still in its infancy and as such still has a way to go (IMO) into becoming a club comparable to what many of us envision the Vette, Mustang, etc. clubs to be like; what that vision is, is up to the individual. There is nothing wrong with joining CICCI or not and certainly there is no obligation to renew your membership if you find it isn't for you.
There are so many ways (as there are owners) to phrase the difference between the two types of sites as well as ways to "justify" joining or not, but in the end it comes down to your personal preference. I would like to see both sites stick around for a while...at least till I can't drive my XF anymore.
However you decide, you are still welcome at either and certainly any gathering of Crossfire's that I know of regardless of member status.
