Seems like there is an apples vs. oranges comparison going on here. I have had both platforms and would prefer one over the other depending on my needs. I don’t do much of the drag racing but have been doing road racing and high performance driving on tracks in the NW since 1993 and since about 1997 have been an instructor as well as racer. For a road course I would pick the XFire SRT-6, you don’t see many Supras on the road courses (XFire are rare due to the low production numbers, AMG and SRT platform is an enabler here) . If I were building a drag car or a drifting platform I would have to go that way. More options, less expensive, the platforms are very dependable and you don’t have that pesky computer taking over….I would also be interested to see the average age of the two groups….
