Great post BMorgan....you could toss in stock vs stock. As the SRT has about 10% more HP and 5-10 less curb wght then the twin turbo american market MK4 if I recall correctly
ok, back on the side....
Cheers,

The SRT-6s were in the 50-54K range sticker price. Very few sold near sticker price.
The SRT-6s were limited to 2005 production year (about a dozen have been reported being released as 2006s). There were 2064 coupes and 928 roadsters built for world wide distribution. SRTs were distributed to Germany, England, Australia, Canada, and the United States.
The SRT was built on the SLK32 AMG platform, and has a 3.2 SC'd hand build AMG engine. It has 349 HP stock.
The body was manufactured and assembled by Karmann.
The SRT was completely built and assembled in Germany with German parts, and shipped to the United States.
Stock: 0-60 @4.8 sec., 1/4 13.06 sec.
Low mileage SRTs can be purchased for between 13 and 20k. Roadsters demand the highest dollars.
The SRT is the best bang for the buck sleeper on the road. Hard to beat the HP/dollar, and is built on a tested and proven SLK platform.
Hope this helps, and possibly opens a few eyes to a truly remarkable car that is an absolute blast to drive.
