Default Thanks Ya'll

Last Thursday, my '04 died while I was driving on a residential street. I called my local wrecker service and had it "RELOCATED" to the closest Chrysler dealership. Then I came home and began to search the forum.

Almost immediately, it became evident that the crankshaft position sensor was the culprit. Based on my newfound knowledge, I went to O'Reillys and purchased a new one. I then called the service manager to tell him I was certain the cps had failed. Today, the service tech called to reaffirm that I needed a new sensor. I excplained that I already had one and he was kind enough to meet me on his way home and I gave him the new part.

The rendering of the bill should be interesting since I essentiially performed the diagnosic services and provided the part.

Before anyone suggests that I should have done it myself, let me say that I'm 72 years old and have absolutely no interest in climbing around in small, dirty spaces.

My purpose in writing is to acknowledge the significan role this forum played in solving a problem I knew absolitley nothing about.
