Re: New Owner - Why CCCI?
At my age (68) I decided I needed a convertible and looked long and hard at Mustang, Volvo and BMW - both new and used. First noticed the Crossfire by accident online (Chrysler did a LOUSY job promoting it but they did me a big favor cause I saved big bucks when I purchased mine NEW in May of '08). Never owned a Mercedes or dealt with foreign car service issues. Found this forum and read everything I could to learn as much as I could. Lot of good people posting here!! Since fewer than 80K Crossfires were built I felt we could become an "endangered species", especially with the state of Chrysler financially. When CICCI was started I became a founding member (just before cut-off date) because I saw a lot of the people joining there that had been so helpful on this forum and I liked the concepts they were promoting for CICCI. As far as I'm concerned CICCI is a VOICE (small in numbers but the numbers are growing) for the Crossfire that will pay off for all owners of the car. What they have accomplished so far and what will develop from their efforts in the future can be nothing but good news for all of us. As stated previously, you don't have to join CICCI but we all will benefit from their efforts.
