Default Re: New Owner - Why CCCI?

Come on now fellas. This is a ridiculous thing to argue about.

The difference between CrossfireForum.org and CICCI is simple. CICCI is a car club that has a forum. And CrossfireForum.org is simply a forum.

That's about as simple as you can say it. But there's a lot more depth to a car club than just an online forum. Keep in mind that CICCI is first and foremost a club. Yes, they have a forum too. And, yes if you become a member you get access to that forum. And yes, members can buy stuff from the club store. But that's not the point of CICCI.

The point of CICCI is an organization that supports and promotes the Crossfire community. The membership fees paid into CICCI go to support the Crossfire community. CICCI supports events like the Tail of the Dragon, the All Chrysler Nationals, and Crossfires Across America. CICCI also promotes the community's interests with Chrysler, and with other car clubs. They build relationships with vendors. The provide support for members.

Does any of that come from CrossfireForum.org? No. Does any of the money donated to CrossfireForum.org go to the support of the community? No. It's privately owned, and Julian (the owner) has every right to do with it as he pleases.

Don't get me wrong, I love this forum. But it is just a forum. If you love your Crossfire (which all of us do), then why would you not support (or at least not bash) CICCI?
