My wife found one in Rosedale that she really likes. Unfortunately, it is a 2007 limited with 37K on the clock and the dealer is asking 18.5K for it. My research says the car is worth 16.5 to 17K. While I like the looks of the car, I learned early on to never "fall in love" until after it is in the driveway. I've had some on this thread say the cars only command 13 to 14K, so I am in a dilemma as to what a "fair" price would be.

My last investment was a 2008 F-250 diesel that I bought in S. Carolina new. The truck stickered at 52K and the dealer had a bunch of vehicles he was willing to deal on, I paid 36K. This XF purchase is new territory for me. I know the car is a 40K ride and if I could find a near-new one, I'd probably spend more. BUT, the book and the bank say the car is low teens. Any thoughts or suggestions?
