Default Re: Rotrex Guy

Hi guys. I'm still here. In fact, I've been down pretty hard but I'm not out; yet. Suffice it to say, I've been dealing with a perfect storm of allergies, heart, GI, and back issues. On top of that, we've had family emergencies as well as a health scare with my wife. All have contributed to no progress what so ever on the crossfire.

That said, I've been working on one thing at a time and am finally starting to feel like my old self. So much so that I've put in about 40 hours lately on finishing up the turbo project car I mentioned earlier in this thread.

I still have a little wiring cleanup, install the chassis braces, and a couple other little things, then it is off to the body shop and out of my hair until it is time to tune.

I also pulled my spyder into the garage and got started. I have 1-2 full days as I get the time to get her back to stock and put a for sale sign on her.

Then, I can finally resume the project on the crossfire. I have about 90% of the components I need in hand. First up is to move the coolant reservoir to the other side, so I can start working on the main SC bracket in between installing the AEM etc.

I had my dual pulley made and it has been installed for about a 1,000 miles. I am a little worried about the amount of "wrap" with things in this position. I may have to add another idler pulley to the mix to prevent slippage under heavy boost. That or notch the pulley and go with a gatorback belt. We'll see, it is something to consider but in the end should be easy to conquer.

It looks like all of my old links are broken due to me changing domain names a while back. However, I'm not going to worry about it right now as I have a plan.

I'm pretty sure I'll be getting started back on some level the weekend after Easter.
