Re: Ran a 14.8 at the track
I took my car to englishtown today, I was just curious to see what it would run... I'll start off my ricer excuses with this.. I drove 2 hours through traffic to get to the track and didn't let the car cool down and I think the engine was heat soaked.. I couldn't cool it down, I had the heat on full blast with the hood open and the temp stayed right about the middle line. I feel like the car performs best when the temp is 1 line below the center line. There were barely any cars at the track, so there were no lines at the starting gates... I couldn't sit around waiting for the car to cool because I was missing out on runs
. So the heat issue is totally my fault. I really couldn't launch the car either It would bog down with the TC off so I pulled the fuses, which helped. I still couldn't trap any higher than 95 all day
. Doing some ricer math, I should have run a 14.1.. My best reaction was a .028 lol and this was not a good launch
Who am I kidding, I need more power lol.
The results (right lane).....
