Re: Driving in the Rain
I bought this XF in Hickory NC way back in July 2009. Since then have made three trips back and forth from west of Sumter SC. All three trips have been in medium to heavy rain (sorry all you 'no driving in rain/snow' for the XF's folks) during most of the trip with most of the miles on interstates at 70+ in medium to heavy traffic. Not once did I experience any feeling of 'loss' of contact (hydroplaning) at those speeds, nor have I had any traction problems locally in rainy/wet roadways locally. The Continentals (original equipment) have performed perfectly without any indication of a problem (I do pay strict attention to the roadway topography and the tactile feedback from the steering wheel/contact with the seat/floorboard). I think you know what I mean?
The grip and ride have been excellent no matter what the roadway conditions!
