Re: Both of our crossfire wrecked this month!

I have a 2005 Blaze Red and that is a difficult color to match. First, see if a dentless place can repair the dents. I just had my passenger door painted and they blended the color into the front fender. There is absolutely no color distortion. Other then using a paint gauge you would not know it was repainted. Sounds like the guy was making excuses for a sloopy paint job. I'd go someplace else. Total remove and replace labor to do this job is 3.3 hours ($165) and $100 for paint and clear coat plus labor for painting was $170. This should help you evaluate estimates. Total cost was $435.
Don't let them tell you it will be a different color and will not match. Mine is a perfect match. My paint was NOT in great shape. The car was not treated with tender loving care in its past life. But starting to look like a new car now.
