3M's double-sided acrylic foam tapes, introduced in 1978, have forever changed the attachment of body side moldings, nameplates and weatherstrip. 3M also offers structural adhesives and microspheres used in plastics to lighten automotive components.

If they make it, they also sell the stuff to get it off. Relax.
