Re: Time slips for Fri night
yes, 11's were not easy, it takes a lot of work and dialing everything in. without looking at dragtimes im guessing there are only 5-6 guys that have done it. yes the fuel system has been holding us back. once the boost goes to 20psi the fuel tables go bad and the cars go lean. that has made running a large pulley without addressing this a losing situation. in fact i dont think anyone running a large pulley has broken into the 11's other then jeff. jeff is a different scenario though as he was willing to do things most owners would not with the amount of work he put into that car.
so back to the topic, yes we have the lean issue solved and tested up to 22psi and it "should" still work up to 25psi but the issue we are seeing is that we are running too rich on the low end. this is being addressed now and is almost ready but i don't want to put out a "not finished" kit. a few other customers have the same setup on their srt6's so far and it has surely solved the problem of the lean issue, just a little more fine tuning is needed to get the right combo of base fuel pressure and triggered fuel pressure.
for paul, yes i have no doubt that he will break into the 11's very soon. we are progressing in the right direction and i am very appreciative of all his track data.
i do not believe that the srt6 platform has hit a brick wall at 12 flat, no way. we have now opened the door on the fuel system and are ready to go fast!
