If you have the OEM, or a fitted cover you will not see that happen as they are snug. I think your swirls are more from the rubbing of the cover. The dust that gets under the cover makes it even worse. When I mow my grass, I always put the cover on, and blow my garage floor clean. When I take my cover off, the car is as clean as when I put the cover on.
The picture John posted is of my OEM cover over my car. They do sell an SRT version.
That's the benefit of a snug cover.
