It does not look like a great deal and there is the problem that CO2 has to be metered so that you dont FREEZE part of the innercooler and block water flow or split the innercooler casing altoghther. Hummmmmmmmm nope not my idea of a workable solutition overall.
The latent heat of vaporization of CO2 provides about 2 - 3 times as much cooling as regular Ice or about 50 ounces of Ice which is little, factoring in the cost and complexity of CO2. I think a CO2 fire extinguisher would be lower cost and a better value if the gasses did not dilute the incoming air to the motor reducing power.

Not to disagree with woody! A 20oz CO2 bottle will hold enough CO2 for many passes and there are many bottle size options over 20oz. Filling a 20oz CO2 bottle at any paintball support facility will cost about $2. If you have a scuba bottle back up it can be filled for $20 and provide many refills. Very cost effective in my opinion. It would be important for me to mount the bottle so that it released gas and not liquid CO2, mounting of your bottle will differ based on the style of fill tube. With the mix rate of CO2, air flow through the cooler, and the temp of the coolent in the system; I believe there is little chance of icing as long as you are blowing gas. If your intent is to blow liquid CO2, your on your own.
