Default Re: Help with descision to buy

For what my opinion is worth:

The base or limited Crossfire is an incredibly good looking, well built, well handling, moderately high performance, high-tech, limited production, two seat touring car ... a Mercedes with a Karmann body and a Chrysler badge. If that is what you are looking for, you will be pleased. That is what I was looking for and I absolutely love it. It is not an extreme performance sports car (0-60 in 6.4 seconds and a top end of 150 mph is not too shabby, but you are not going to blow the doors off everything else on the highway). At my age, I no longer have the attention span, reflexes or neural synapses necessary to try blowing the doors off other cars on the highway ... and I don't need to get slapped up side the head by my wife for trying to do so (she also loves the car).

If you don't care so much about the great looks and the limited production (and perhaps, the build quality), and you want slightly higher performance, look at an Audi TT, 350Z or Boxster. If you want everything the Crossfire offers and much higher performance, take a look at the SRT6. If you want even higher performance, look at the 'vette, 911 or Viper. If that's not good enough for you, then you have far more money than I could ever justify spending on a car.

A few members on the forum have complained about mechanical/quality problems and lousy dealers. I have had only a couple of minor problems, and I have had exceptionallyy good service from my dealer. The Crossfire has been everything I wanted and much more.
