Also, must not have looked at the info I posted because if you had read even the beginning, you would know this is not an electronics issue, it is literally a delay valve, totally mechanical. This means you are not putting out the 229tq that the car is able to produce until the entire clutch is engaged, which is delayed by the valve. I did not post this info to make myself sound more knowledgeable, I posted it so others, like yourself, who race, can use the info to try and gain an advantage. Everyone is throwing thousands into their engines, and the thing you need in a manual to really put the power to the ground is being delayed by a $2 part.
I never said anything about 60's, like I stated, I am not a drag racer, but I have been around a track or two. I simply said that if you were able to put the tq to the ground ALL AT ONCE, you might not be complaining about a lack thereof. I brought this up,
I would really like to know what a full bolts XF is, and how far into the 13s you are intending to go, then we can continue our discussion. But if you have no intention of wanting to learn more about the car, like not reading what I posted, that is your choice.
Fair enough. I got what you are saying and I didnt click on the link because I am at work. cant get deep into this at work. I would be very happy to get that delay thing off.
my point on the car not having enoughb tq was that it doesnt have enough tq to really cut a good 60's, push that 3000+lbs out of the hole good. when u rev and dump the clutch due to lack of power to the wheels, it kind of falls on its face. My 570lbs of tq cobra (at the engine) would bog on slicks even when launching at 6000RPM. the car weighted a bit more 3800lbs with me in it. So, a crossfire with 229tq will bog each time you dump the clutch. Seriously, u have one, go and try it, If you dump the clutch and if you hook, it will bog, I put money on this.
Other than that, thanks for the advice and I will look into clutch delay thing and hopefully fix it. it should improve my times even better then.
full bolts on in my book is: Full exhaust, intake, custom tune, (and a few other tweaks, pieces to bolt on such as throttle body, intake madifold, etc. it all depends on the kind of car you drive) I guess we can add injectors to it as well.
I have heard people bring their corssfires upto 275-285hp with mods. I mean once again, if your 3000lbs car isnt seeing a 13 second run after with that kind of power, then please dont blame it to the car. I am not here to put anyone down. I am just stating facts and I have always been hated for my unbelievable claims. I have posts to prove them and then other posts to back my claims. I say a nicely modded N/A car can hit a, hmmmmm.... ~
13.6@102mph~ on a nice day!
