Thanks to both of you for your input. I heard a rumor that there may actually be tires soon that will wear longer and even be rotated even though they are unidirectional and speed rated as they are.

Bottom line, my biggest concern is having a flat somewhere between Florida and Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri and not have a dang spare! Not good on some interstate in the middle of the night and not a clue of where to have it towed.
