No only will you have less rolling mass (unsprung weight) to deal with, here are a couple more things to consider. With a 16" wheel, you have higher sidewalls on the tires which allows you to run lower air pressure and give you sidewall flex to increase traction. So, for example with my setup, I drop the air pressure to 18lbs. If you take an 18" wheel and drop the pressure to 18lbs. you could run the risk of spinning the wheels off the rubber. Not a good thing. LOL Generally, I would think that with an 18" wheel, you would not want to go below 22lbs of pressure in the tires. Good luck.
