Android > Apple OS. IMO of course.
Let us know how you like the iPad.
The idea is to be able to practically carry my desktop around with me at a size that is usable. I do that with the iPhone but the RDP software is so small I have to constantly zoom in and out of a server to get to what I need. I was going to wait for the HP Slate, but there is no way they can match the battery life an iPad has with the Atom processor and windows. BTW I'm typically a windows guy. That's where all my certs are and I don't have any trouble with their products... for the most part

I've not had the time with the Droid to conclude what you've concluded above, but if the droid software is better than apple's software I will be amazed. Not because I doubt that's possible, but because the iPhone has done so many things right that it's a very high claim. If I feel the need to continue to have a smart phone it will either be the Droid or the Palm Pre. I know people with both and I've enjoyed both when I tried them out. One other thing, I really look forward to getting off the At&t network for voice. It is the absolute worst network I've ever been on, and my only gripe with having an iPhone. The iPhone has been such a stellar performer that it's kept me on a network I absolutely hate.
