You may be correct on that. But if a person bases the value of the car on the radio then someone's priorities are out of wack (and I am not talking about you... just making a general statement). I actually replaced my radio with an aftermarket and I love it better. I mostly did this so I could play MP3 discs and my ipod. Otherwise the radio with black ***** in the base coupe was VERY good. I loved it and it sounded great! Even if it may be considered a cheaper radio.
