I would check with another tire company and check to see if it can be pluged, I had a screw in my tire about the same area different car of course, but he explained to me the way the tire was made and explained how it was still ok to plug it vs him selling me a brand new replacement. Tires are all different as to the way they are made, and some can be saved I still have the plug in the tire and its still holding air and no thread seperation or any other problems.
