The hook behind the front grille is the same size as the one that is so obvious at the rear of the car.
The eye bolt in the picture is way too small, if that was screwed into the frame and an attempt was made to tow the car it would bend and break.

Front tow hook

Front lower left grille latch

Grille with multi-tool in position to release it, as you can see the multi-tool does not go in straight, more like 45 degrees.

With the multi-tool in position it is levered to the left to unclip the latch. When the tool goes under the latch there is no stop so insert the tool 4" and it will be enough. The right hand side of the grille is held in with two fixed lips which insert in two holes in the bumper cover. The grille is inserted by locating the fixed latches and swinging the grille into the latched position. Make sure you hear the grille click into position properly, pressing in the center helped mine fit or you will be looking for a spare.
I never knew how this grille came out exactly and now I know. You should try it some time to avoid panic one day, leaving it to the tow truck driver to wrench out .... ouch.
A screw driver with similar dimensions would do as well.
PS
The car needs a wash as you can see, but as it's black I only wash it 3-4 times a year, whats the point. It has not been washed this year yet, maybe when its warmer.
