This is an adhesive backed monokote - basically just a nice thin, glossy, silvery looking vinyl. I got mine through the online hobby store linked to somewhere here on the forum and cut it to shape, using the angle of the lower part of the door as a guide for proper angle. I then cleaned the area where they were to be applied with some isopropyl alcohol and laid 'em on. Haven't had a problem with them since the install, and the color is a dead match for all the other silver trim on the car.
