The one that I purchased was made out of aluminum and had no adhesive on the back whatsoever. The instructions clearly stated to use JB Weld. That seemed extreme to me so I used the High Temp RTV that I had and it worked great. It has been on there since Aug 2008 and no issues and no movement/wiggles.
