Yeah, I knew it could be screwed off, but the problem is I can't reach it since it is only flush when unlocked. I really don't want to have to remove the whole door skin just to get at it.

I have not decided if I want to replace it yet with the chrome replacements or not. I would just like it to be above the door when it is open.
